Meet the educator behind Classroom to curtain
Kelsey is a lifelong performing-arts lover with over fifteen years of professional experience in theatre education. As an arts educator she has worked in both public and private school settings as a teacher, director, choreographer, program manager, and consultant. Prior to working in the school system, she served as the Education Programs Manager for a nationally recognized regional youth theatre, rising to the role from her work as a teaching artist and production team member.
Her experience spans performing onstage, managing the magic backstage, and leading in arts administration across the professional, educational, and community levels. She specializes in new program creation and curriculum development –– particularly pre-professional career training models.
Her dynamic and hands-on teaching style promotes a project-based, student-centered learning environment where the theoretical meets the practical. Central to this approach is her belief that every student steps into the classroom with a unique set of skills and insights, making them experts in their own right.
Kelsey aims to provide educators and students with valuable resources that take their extend learning from the classroom to the curtain and beyond, ensuring that the enriching experience of theatre education is accessible to all.
